I WANT TO LEARN KENDO... what do I have to do?

Before you can join the main class, you must complete a 6 weeks beginners course which starts at the beginning of each UNSW semester (Contact us for the details on the next course).

Beginners Course

PLEASE NOTE: The next Beginners Course commences Wednesday the 1st of August, 2012

Time: Wednesday 7.30 pm - 9.00 pm
Place: UNSW UNI GYM, MPR 1, 1st Floor, High St, Kensington.

* You MUST attend all 6 lessons before you can commence your training in KENDO.
-- This means you MUST sign up for the course before the first lesson.

* You can sign up at reception in the UNSW Sports and Recreation Centre late August 2012.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME?

I AM A STUDENT AT UNSW
Cool. It'll cost you $54 for your recreation course and club membership. After that it'll cost you $80 for the annual membership to the NSW Kendo Association and $25 per month for (2) lessons, Monday and Tuesday of every week. Only Cash is accepted.

I AM A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC
That's OK. If you are of good character we want you too. It'll cost you $70 for your recreation course and club membership. After that it'll cost you $80 for the annual membership to the NSW Kendo Association and $25 per month for (2) lessons, Monday and Tuesday of every week. Only Cash is accepted.

I AM ALREADY PART OF THE CLUB
It will still cost you $80 for the annual membership to the NSW Kendo Association, plus $25 per month fee and that gives you (2) lessons per week, Monday and Tuesday of every week. Optional for those who are on the advanced level, a total cost of $35 per month will allow you with (3) lessons per week - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of every week.

SEASONAL DISCOUNTS MAY/JUNE
We are currently offering a special discount to anyone who will pay their whole years fee all at once. The discounted total is:

$280 for students/alumni/staff, or
$310 for members of the public.

This offer will include: Up to (3) lessons per week, 1 year UNSW Club membership, 1 year NSW Kendo association membership. Not to be missed! Even if you only attend (2) lessons a week for the year, you would still save on this special offer.
